I just got a Adavnce AV kit for my Xbox, and I cant get DD 5.1 to work in XBMC? I enable in the settings,
still don't work?  My reciever is a Yamaha HTR 5730 here is the specs, Oh I dont have S Video  on my reciever , just noticed, Do i need a optical cable or something if I dont have  S Video?

S-Video is only for video (no sound). You will need digital optical cable to get digital sound. The input for the digital audio is found in the lower left hand corner of the picture you supplied (should look roughly the same on the AV block). You can buy a cable from Bestbuy for $20 or find one online for $5.

Ok so I dont need the Advance AV kit only a Optical cable?

no, you need the advanced av cable, and the optical digital cable. The optical digital cable pugs into the advanced av pack, and then plugs into your amp. the amp should then (depending on what setting it's on) work out automatically which type of connection you're trying to use.
