From T3CH readme/nfo:
QUOTE
New Dashboard install method
Thanks to a new app called 'Team UIX's Xbe Shortcut Maker v1.0' by JbOnE, it's now extremely easy...
Edit XBMC\xboxmediacenter.xml to your liking & transfer contents of XBMC folder TO (this is VERY important) "E:\APPS\XBMC\". Rename <<RENAME_ME.xbe>> to something your bios can boot  (see http://manual.xboxmediacenter.de/wakka.php...BMCAsDash#h44-2 or read your BIOS README)  and transfer to your C partition. No need to fiddle with HOME tag anymore, and future upgrades you won't  need to worry about this file on C.

You can add more scripts and skins yourself if desired. You can download them from http://allxboxskins.com, http://www.xbox-skins.net and http://www.xbmcscripts.com.
Keep in mind this is a CVS snapshot of the current development tree. It's not a official (stable) point release. Use only if you know what you are doing.

Does the ff/rw in dvdplayer cause crashes or something? Why is it only enabled in the debug build?

The 18th release had a messed up submenu, but it's fixed now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Strange...

you guys seem to have this release working on your xbox.

I usually have no or little problems with new xbmc builds from t3ch but this one keeps me busy.

When i install this version of xbmc and boot it up i get the project mayhem skin but al the text is lined out at the upper left corner. It seems that the text line out problem is the only problem cause i can navigate around en start programs. It's only a little hard to navigate cause you can't really see what you're clicking.

As usuall i've browsed the topics, deleted both 0face008 folders, booted up with start and back buttons pressed and also deleted e:/cache but unfortunately to no result.

Does someone know what to do?

Never mind. Sorry for the fuzz. After i'd written this post i kicked myself en tried it another time. Deleted everything. Seems it was my mistake.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)  I probably used the default.xbe from the old build and renamed it to something my xbox can boot. The default.xbe from the old build is probably the cause that the new build was not working properly.

Now... no probs at all.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Thanks

looks like a great build, but im having a small problem.  when i launch xbmc, it automatically opens My Music, even though i have set it in the options to load the home screen.  no matter what i change this option to, it opens to my music...is there a way to fix this?

EDIT:

nevermind, i figured it out.  it was becuase i set my X3 LCD to no TV mode.  i liked the display better that way becuase i do like to use it for music alot, but since i use xbmc as my dashboard, i dont want it to boot to my music.  is there anyway i can get the no tv functionality of the LCD and still have it boot to the home screen?

I had the same problem with the LCD and solved it like that:
Make a new called autoexec.py in your xbmc\scripts folder and put the following in it

xbmc.executebuiltin('XBMC.ActivateWindow(0)')

Well, it takes a second before the mainwindow<is called but its one keypress less ;-)

BTW: i'm still hoping that the LCD options get extended! What i really want is option to turn the display on or off in the mainmenu.

I've had the same thing happening since the Dec18 version.  Also happens with MyTV Guide, probably other scripts too, so I backstepped to an older version.  Just wanna confirm, you're saying this is still happening with Dec25 release?
