From T3CH readme/nfo:
QUOTE
New Dashboard install method
Thanks to a new app called 'Team UIX's Xbe Shortcut Maker v1.0' by JbOnE, it's now extremely easy...
Edit XBMC\xboxmediacenter.xml to your liking & transfer contents of XBMC folder TO (this is VERY important) "E:\APPS\XBMC\". Rename <<RENAME_ME.xbe>> to something your bios can boot  (see http://manual.xboxmediacenter.de/wakka.php...BMCAsDash#h44-2 or read your BIOS README)  and transfer to your C partition. No need to fiddle with HOME tag anymore, and future upgrades you won't  need to worry about this file on C.

You can add more scripts and skins yourself if desired. You can download them from http://allxboxskins.com, http://www.xbox-skins.net and http://www.xbmcscripts.com.
Keep in mind this is a CVS snapshot of the current development tree. It's not a official (stable) point release. Use only if you know what you are doing.

I dont know about anyone else but I still havent gotten DVD playback to work through XBMC itself.

Even after the fabled DVD support (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For another day.

The DVD playback works for me, perhaps a complete delete and a fresh install would do the trick?  I look forward to this new build.

The kai problem was a few builds ago, I believe an october build, but I'm not sure exactly. it's been fixed for a few builds now, so i doubt it's rebroken again, but you never know until you try.

so to upscale to 720p or 1080i we used the dvdplayer? by pressing the white button on the movie we want to watch and then select | play with | --> dvdplayer

Is that the process to watch DVD's in 720p or 1080i, are there any other settings?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the saving playlist issue is fixed yet. I'm trying to get my startup playlist working again but it's hard to do when I can't save one. Yes, I upgraded the xml btw

Two questions:

1). Does anyone know why HiFi v1.3 wont play movies/music with any T3CH build?

2). Has anyone got the TeamUIX shortcut to work? I always have to copy the XBMC .xbe and .xml file to my C drive (or the location my BIOS boots from) even if I have E:\Apps\XBMC\

the shortcut maker program works fine
go get it - make your own shortcut and try that

eg i have successfully used it on 2 softmods to launch xbmc in e:\mediaplayers\xbmc
shortcut lives on c:

It is good to get the new features, but the process gets cumbersome when your XBMC is customized.  Any chance of a point release soon?

The HiFi skin is outdated, not a problem with xbmc nor the T3CH builds.
