New Mplayer Dll Breaks Omg Files?
« on: August 07, 2005, 01:41:00 PM »

Hi,

I have some TV episode's in an OGM container (each 170MB) and they don't appear to play on XBMC. Unfortunately Gspot is not able to provide me with any details about the codec used (if anyone knows a tool that can I would be more than happy to try that tool). I've done some research with the tools available for me (Mplayer classic) and this is all the details I can extract :

Video: XVID 480x360 23.98fps
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 48000Hz stereo 124Kbps (English?)
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 48000Hz stereo 96Kbps (Commentary?)
Text (None?)
Text (English?)
Text (Spanish?)

As far as I know XBMC has no problem with playing Xivd/MP3 files so I downloaded the latest Mplayer file : http://cvs.source forge.net/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/xbmc/XBMC/system/players/mplayer/mplayer.dll but they still won't play :(

I might be able to provide the NZB file for the XBMC team members with Usenet access or if some one could provide a FTP server I could upload it to that.

edit :

From the XBMC Log :

i've updated ogm playback in mplayer cvs.. not put in in xbmc cvs yet, but if you build yourself, this is probably already solved.

Thank you Elupus for the quick reaction and fix! The thing I probably love the most about XBMC is that the developers actually care about the user input!

Once again thanks! I'll report back if it fixes the problem, I'll compile a new XBMC tonight.

Compiling XBMC isn´t enough...

You need to compile the mplayer.dll too

I just happend to do one 5 minutes ago, so i uploaded it HERE.

I´ll take the link down tomorrow...
