Help On Fixing My Xbmc
« on: March 19, 2005, 09:55:00 AM »

allright ill try to explain this as best as possible...so i had xbmc working for a while and everything is good, but one day my dual boot just stopped working, but i didnt pay any attention to it, but the other day i was trying to mess around with a skin to see if i could get the hang of it...well, i messed with the pal 16x9 or whatever home, and now it will load up to the splash of xbmc, change my led, then freezes....i cant do the Splinter cell exploit, it goes to the xbox needs service screen, and it does it when i leave the dvd tray out

now ive tried to make dvd boot disk, but i dont think im doing them right, i did one of xbmc on a dvd and it seems to read it, but then it goes to my xbmc that freezes, i did one of Unleash X on a normal cd-r but i dont think my dvd drive boots up cd disks

so maybe someone can help me with tips on how to fix this, i dont have any ftp access, so maybe if someone was good at making boot disks can send me a boot iso of XBMC or something else, i dont mind, i can fix it when i have ftp access... thanks in advanced:)

to fix the exploit, just get slayers boot-disk, unpack it with an XISO extraction tool (Qwix, Craxtion, XISO, etc: see the usual places), go into SYSTEM/ALL/C and copy over the stock M$ dash files to the C drive.(this will remove the exploit). Next, just use a softmod installer (Krayzie's UXE installer) from the usual places to put the UXE in.
