It is giving me this Warning:

LBA48 info not found! Custom Partitions will not work with this BIOS! Update your BIOS to one which supports at least LBA48 version 2. Press Y to continue or any other button to abort.

also can you format the F: drive without xbpartitioner? If so how?

XBPartitioner is the only program that'll format a large partition correctly.

I have no idea why it's complaining about lack of LBA48 support if you were able to get more then 256gb partitioned in the first place.

How are you modded? Chip? TSOP flash? Softmod? If one of the first two, which BIOS?

(XBMC should be able to tell you your BIOS type if you hunt around the system pages long enough... Assuming it hasn't been modified).

I was able to pull this information from Avalaunch:
Display Card Xbox NC2A
Kernel version : 1.0.4890.6
Crystal : 16.6
CPU : 733
FSB : 133
MCLK : 200
VCO : 800

In RemoteX it says:
BIOS Version: UNKNOWN
Kernel Version 1.00.4980.06
XBOX Hardware Info 00000003 A3 B2

In XBMC under the LCD tab it says
Modchip SmartXX

hoowever I can change SmartXX to Xecuter3 or Xenium

under System Info in XBMC it says:
ModCip: Hynix HY29F080
Detected BIOS: Unkown! Add. MDS from Logg to BIOSIDs.ini!

I find this odd because when I load up  my xbox under the splashscreen it says XECUTER 2

EDIT: I do have access to an old gentoo box with a gentoo livecd. Could I put my xbox hard drive into that and then use fdisk to format that partition?

That's an option thing, not an info thing.

You'll have a modified X2 BIOS of some sort. Easiest way to tell if you have a modchip or not is to open the console and take a look.

Oh, that was the other thing - Which console version is it?

3102285 14403
L=3
N=102285
Y=1

This is my xbox serial number, if I am reading it right it is version 1.0
3102285 14403

I opened the xbox up and I can't see a modchip anywhere. I could have missed it, where should I be looking for it?

Not all modchips look the same, but they all go in more or less the same place. Check this guide for some sample images.

Yeah, that's very likely a 1.0 system.

Doesn't look like there is a chip in it. I that there would be, but I guess not.

Righto, then you probably have a flashed TSOP.

Now, at this stage I'd recommend flashing with a different BIOS (X2 5035 is good), but one thing's bugging me... If you don't have LBA48 support then you should never have been able to corrupt your drive in the first place...

Make sure you tried the latest version of XBPartitioner (0.9), and if it still doesn't detect it, you should probably post in a more relevant forum section for a second opinion. Newbie Chat or General Hardware have lots of active users.

It says my xbpartitioner is version 1.0, which could be an issue if you said the highest version was .9. I'll repost this problem in the newbie chat.

here is a link to the new topic I started http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=645011.
