If you have xbmc that will give you the best chance, but you wont be able to watch true HD stuff as the xbox does not have enough grunt.
Also you will need to set your video standard to NTSC to enable HD modes (do tihs using enigmah video disc, then using original xbox dash you can select 720P or 1080i modes)
