how hard is it to port software to the xbox from source?

depends, but anything u cant find already is probably going to be HELL porting (well, actually not if its REALLY simple, then u need the librarys (for the xbox) put into working order on in the code (many strings wont even work somewhat) and exe to xbe converter (assuming u replaced all librarys and nesiccisay code), then u convert to xbe, test, rewrite code to debug, convert to xbe, test ETC. ETC.

this is what i was hoping to port over,

as at the moment i have to boot xdsl and then run ftpd for linux, which is an older pre comiled version.
im having trouble compiling the newest version
