dvd2xbox v0.7.8
Posted by XanTium | November 19 12:29 EST

WiSo released a new version of dvd2xbox(info).
What's new/fixed:
* fixed: SmartXX RGB Led support had some bugs
* added: some new transition for the RGB Led
* added: return to dash from main menu can now be configured in dvd2xbox.xml
* added: auto shutdown feature after ripping. Default is off
* changed: xbe title from dvd2xbox to DVD2Xbox ;)
Added:
A small windows app which let you easiliy configure your SmartXXRGB.xml file (needs .NET framework).
It has also the ability to test the transitions and color directly on you box if the network is enabled (DVD2Xbox needs to have network, SmartXX RGB Led and xbox autodetection enabled). This is usefull because the color shown in the app and on the Led are a little different. Maybe later on one can insert an adjustment matrix.

mine crashes on start up  sad.gif

It hangs at this screen:
IPB Image

its residing in the F drive
I deleted previous settings stored in the E drive game saves via ms dash

I tried launching the xbe from unleashx, evox 3935, and boXplorer.  nothing.

the folder on the xbox is 7.94MB in size so I'm pretty sure all the files are in place.

my setup is a V1.3 and I tested this using the evox M8 bios

anyone have any idea whats going on?

I haven't bought an xbox1 game in over a year, and so I haven't had a need for this app anymore. But holy cow! It worked great years ago, and you're still releasing updates! Amazing work!  biggrin.gif

Same here. I'm running UnleashX and I've tried launching it from both the E drive and the F drive, and it always  gets hung up at that same screen.

It crashes for me on startup as well.
Using Avalaunch as my main dashboard.
I've tried editing the .xml to stop hdd auto-detection and still the same.

Sorry dudes, seems to be not tested well smile.gif
I have to admit that I didn't test the release build but the debug build runs fine.
Mine crashed also with XBMC but I can't explain why the debug build runs and the release build not.
Seemed to be that you have to stick with the old version yet.

Ok, found it. just a little typo in the dvd2xbox.xml.
find this:
CODE

and replace it by:
CODE

default

It doesn't work because of the following file:

dvd2xbox.xml

If you use that xml from your previous version that worked - 0.7.8 works fine.

--oops I see the post above mine posted at the same time...with a fix.

i wanted to say thanx for the killer work on this over the years.

one feature request, if i might.....i know this is a long shot, but....is it possible to use DVD2Xbox to install a game from an iso off a networked drive?  say if i have a backup of a game in iso format on my pc's drive, in a shared folder?  looking for a way to manage game installaitons without haveing to go to the pc itself.

thanx much
