Cannot Open File From An Openxdk Application

Hi, all.
    I am writting a simple application for the XBox using the OpenXDK. The OpenXDK uses SDL and when I try to open images, TrueType files, etc; the application does not load the data. I am putting the data in the CD-RW in the root directory and none of the following paths runs ok :-(  --->   "d:\\file.png", "file.png" neither "d:/file.png".
    What am I doing wrong? How can I load data from CD-RW or DVD-ROM media using OpenXDK?
