Updating Avalaunch

Hi I was woundering if someone could help me out with my problem updating avalaunch from v0.48 to v0.49.0.4; now what the problem is that I go to update avaluanch i select the server (only 1 which is located in Norway) it says connecting and nothing happens it just stays like that for hours. Here's a little info on my xbox its got some old aladdin modchip  (soldered of course) evox:+3921 v1.0 xbox it's connected to my comp through a straight patch/jumper/eithernet cable thing?? going into my router into my modem and in my pc. Well the green led light is always on the xbox but the orange led rarely blinks. If anyone can offer any suggestions or answers to why Avalaunch isn't updating for me I would aprretiate it.

Is your Avalauch in English or in Norwigen (Norska)?

If its in english, why dont try another server???
