How are we alienating users?
I know a few people who won't use this because of the risk of being banned from xbox live / matchmaking. I believe a majority of people with an xbox and a highspeed connection use live and therfore are afraid to use mimesis.

What do you mean install to another directory?
I mean, maps are installed in the same folder the game uses. So, if I install the halo 2 maps they go into a directory bungie scans for modded maps. If they were installed to a differnt folder (for example 'mimesis') I could launch my original disc without fear of being banned. I could then launch my backup of halo 2 with a hex edited default.xbe that looks in the 'mimesis' folder for use on xlink/xbc/system link.

Also what about ppf patches?
I'm just saying ppf patches could be released to save users the trouble of hex editing the default.xbe.
Of course this would just be an option, maybe a checkbox.
If not checked install as usual.
If checked install too mimesis directory.
Thanks for the reply ramzi
