I had this new version locking up as well until I deleted the same Data folders as stated above. Yet, after I used it once, the program just locks up again. I think I'll stick with 0.7.4 for now since it still works 100%

neovader,

I also had the same "freeze" occur whenever I put in one of my games in the drive. I thought perhaps I had to wait for the app to load then re-insert the game but the result was that of the same. I think we should try "deleting" some of the above-mentioned files and see if that will "unblock" the reading of the discs.

I will post my results in the next day.

UPDATE from my last post (Couldn't edit, sorry)

SO I did what was suggested:

Went to E drive and deleted "/E/TDATA/0facfac0".
Went to Gamasave manager (in UX) and deleted saved game for DVD2Xbox (this also resets the old logo with the new one)

When I first launched the program, still the same error occured, but once I restarted the machine that is when all was fine. I suppose it didn't function the first time due to the old files still being in memory (should have been obvious, but at 2 am, not for me).

Thanks to those before who were able to pin-point what had to be done. Really appreciated.

I deleted the folers again and the entire program and then put a fresh copy back on my system and inserted the disc. It ripped fine and then I reset the system again so I could start on the next game and poof, it locked up again. I'm going to stay with 0.7.4 until a newer one comes out past 0.7.5

@Neo,Jedi: Did you change something in the settings after the first run when it doesn't crash? Could you maybe try to disable the unlocker in the settings (which is on per default)?.
Need to track down the problem since I can't reproduce it.

Ok great. Seems to be the challenge response codes which are sent to the unit let some boxes crash. However this is a new topic for the faq :-)

In the config.xml file there is a section for network settings. It says in there that if you leave it blank dvd2xbox will use your dashboard network settings. So leave it blank and then set your dashboard to DHCP.

doesn't detect an IP, therefore does not seem to work.

It does. Tested it with XBMC as dash with DHCP. dvd2xbox started via XBMC and it obtains the network settings from the dash.
