Pandora On The Xbox?
« on: March 30, 2006, 01:44:00 PM »

Hi, well we have all of Pandora on the Sonos media player, but I was wondering if anybody could come up with a way to run Pandora on the Xbox?

Specifically it would be cool to have an app. that launched (perhaps as a web page) and loaded this little hack - which is a cobbled together version of Pandora that also allows you to sum it tracks you like to your LastFM profile for tagging.

As far as I understand it (I haven't installed XBMC in a while - but I'm getting an Xbox on Tuesday for free and will chip it just for this) LastFM functionality is already included in the latest version of XBMC? Can anyone tell me if this includes the full functionality of LastFM?

In any case it would be very cool to have both LastFM and Pandora and have a souped up Sonos type radio Player for next to no money.

Pandora is flash.  There is no working browser with Flash support for the xbox, short of using FireFox under linux.

That's bad news. I wish we can have Xbox and Pandora as it could be double fun in single package.

In theory, a flash web browser could be ported to Xbox.... but it would be a great deal of work.

More realistically, a linux distro which launches firefox maybe? If that's even possible... I don't know much about how linux works, other than running apps.

Does anyone remember Linxbox or whatever, the web browser? I never got it working, but did it run flash apps?
