Dvdx2 Parental Lock Out
« on: January 26, 2006, 11:50:00 PM »

I have been using DVDX2 for a long time without any issues but now it has decided to lock out a large collection of my DVD's. When I insert the movie I get a warning message about the parental level and I can choose yes to play the movie anyway, which is what always happened, but now after hitting yes I get a message telling me that playback of this disk has been disabled due to the parental level on the player, this is a PG movie. I can load the DVD from XBMC or the Xbox dash and it plays no problems but I use DVDX2 because the video quality is better than with XBMC and I can’t use the controller with the Xbox dash. I have a PAL Xbox so I don’t have the parental control option from the Xbox settings menu (at least that’s what I heard, anyone with a PAL Xbox want to confirm this) so I have no idea what I changed to make it stop working. The weird thing is it still lets some movies like Battle Royale and Sin City play; any ideas?
