For Xecuter 3 owners.
Wow, I can't beleive how easy this was to setup. Did it in less then 30 minutes. I used something called
setup_xbox_debug that I downloaded. Then ran it and set it up like this. You'll choose your own setting of course.
Dash Drive - F
Dash File - XBMC/xbmc.xbe
Debug IP - 192.168.1.113
Debug Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Debug Gateway - 192.168.1.1
Then went into the correct folder conexant/focus. XBMC will tell you what video decoder you have if you push the right thumbstick down, and choose "System Info" then "Video". Mine is a Conexant. So I uploaded the 2 files from the conexant folder.
E:\dashboard.xbx
E:\devkit\xbdm.ini
I also have the MS XBOX SDK v5849, and if you want you can extract all files using WinRAR, so no need to install it. Just right-click on the file and select "Extract Files..." Once extracted, goto the following folder "MS XBOX SDK v5849\XDK\xbox\symbols". You'll see a bunch of folders, just select the "Latest" folder. Here you'll see the xbdm.dll file, just upload it to your XBOX in the folder shown below.
E:\xbdm.dll
Next, if you have an Xecuter 3 chip like I do, just boot into your bios using the white button on your controller. Once in, goto "X3 Config Live", then "Customize X3 Bios", then set "Debug Bios Mode" to "Enabled". Once done, go back to the main bios screen and reboot the xbox. You should be back at your dashboard. I use the lastest XBMC CVS as my Dashboard.
Next, I went to the Xbox Image Grabber 2 folder and edited the Config.ini and just changed two lines, "debug ip=192.168.1.113", and "daship=192.168.1.112". Then save it and load the Xbox Image Grabber program. Click "Test Debug" and it should say "Debug service working correctly". Then your set to go, chose your capture format bmp, jpg, png, etc. Then click Capture and you should see the image that is currently on your XBOX. Some games don't work with this. When done, just go back into the X3 bios and disable the debug option.
