Okay, you've switched to IPB :-\

Would it be possible to change the thread message background from the current grey to green and green to grey gradients to a solid light colour?

not bad... im kinda digging it.

i can see there are a few things to be touched up, but i like.
some smileys not appearing ATM, and i went a whole night without my Xbox-Scene, but it seems things shaped up well.

Good job, really  biggrin.gif

Xbox-Scene has always used IPB.  They simply upgraded from v1.3.1 to v2.0.3.

I have to agree about the gradients being a little distracting.  However, I'm sure there will be subtle changes being made over the next few days/weeks.  Patience.  :)

The new IPB uses a different directory for similes than previous versions.  It'll most likely just be a matter of time before the old smilies are moved into the new directory.  :)

Man, not diggin this retro-look skin.  And the default skin is not better.

I know we're guests here, and the smilies etc. will get ironed out, but (and to offense to the skinner) this is just one fugly skin.

The "Quote" font is too obtrusive, and the sickly grey (and pea-soup shit green)  is just not doing if for me.  By all means, Xantium et all, do what you have to do to keep this place alive, but, as a launch skin....

Damn. blink.gif

That's all I can say.

The "old" skin will be available very soon. It's converted but I have some problems with it atm.

For all the rest bare with us while I try to fix all issues and optimizations.

Thanks

yea, personally i think i liked the old look better.  Some of the new stuff is good, but i think the colors make it harder on the eyes to read.

While I don't speak for XanTium and I am not involved in the backend upgrade of the forum software, let me just state from my own experience that it is a pretty laborious process.

I would advise everyone to just sit back and be patient.

The first step after the upgrade is to restore board functionality.  That has been accomplished very quickly.  There are always unforseen problems but speedwise it could have gone much worse.

The second step will be to work out any little glitches with the upgrade that you may be noticing.  Bringing them up contructively will, I'm sure, be a big help.

The last step will be to iron out any little details and tweak the layout and the skin.  I'm sure our friendly admins will do this in due time, but they have their hands full with a lot of other details right nwo just to keep the site running.

The important thing is that everything is still functional.  Aesthetics and the inability to accept change will all work themselves out in time.

<a href="http://www.invision-it-all.com>Invision-It-All

Should be: <a href="http://www.invision-it-all.com>Invision-It-All</a>

Other than that it looks good.  I could do without the gradients though.

Ah yes.  The forum has had the new skin for about 17 minutes and already the complaints are rolling in.  ;)

I believe this is going to be a great upgrade with a ton of new features when the whole upgrade has been completed.

Takes time folks, please allow some. wink.gif
