You can, but only with a certain dashboard.

And I forgot the name of it.  I will let you know when I can remember the name.

If you use XMBC and set up samba shares then you can access you PC from the xbox.  If you just specify the PCs IP number in the xml file and dont specify the shard folder, then you will be able to see all shared folders on that PC. Though you wont be able to access the the xbox HDD from the PC.
