Quick Popup Window = Everything Centered?

Has anyone received a popup window that appears for like a second, and then goes away.. and then it makes everything on this forum, centered? Like topic names, posts, etc. It turns everything centered. It is a quick popup window that shows in the lower left hand corner of the screen.

It appears probably 1/9 of everytime I visit a forum

You checked for spyware and viruses? The only window I can think of is the PM box, maybe it's spyware messing you up.

 Probably some bundled software that came with something you installed... Try running another browser and see if it happens... I doubt very much it will do.
Run ad-aware
and spybot search and destroy and you should be fixed up.
Also see whether there are any odd process running when you press ctrl alt delete.

I also recomend firefox, www.mozilla.org it's a brilliant browser and it don't give me any spyware now (yes I have SP2 for XP but IE6 doesn't cut it for me).

Not sure about the whole pop-up window, but all the text on this site will go centered sometimes. I'm on my work comp, running IE5, and I doubt I have spyware on here, this is just about the only site I go to on this computer. Usually refreshing the page will fix it, it is annoying tho.

I've seen it happen several times (just no popup window). Looking at the html it looks like the php is shooting out a <div align="center"> that isn't being closed properly...  ;)

I thought I wa the only one, it only happens on my work computer which runs IE6. A popup will appear for a second and then everything is centered. Google popup blocker is installed but it still happens every once in a while.

hmm, that is weird. There should be no pop-up at all and even less a pop-up centering the forums.
Just incase the ad agency is fucking up something, could you tell me what banner you get on top of the page if this happens.

Not sure about the centering, but I've encountered a breif popup box before on the site - if I recall correctly, it was for a BBC domain, when the BBC news ad was shown (not sure though)

Indeed, I found this campaign running
Campaign Name   BBC News Banner Nov04
Geo Targets   Include: USA
Alert: A small pop-under may appear and disappear as part of this campaign.

I set it to auto disable all campaigns with pop-ups, but apparently the ad agency doesn't consider this as a pop-up.
Why it centers the forum I have no idea tho.

It's now disabled ... so it should be out of rotation in a few hours.
Let me know if u still see stuff like this.

Xbox-Scene has a no pop-up (or other BS ads like layer ads and others) policy. 3rd party script are out of our control tho. And as many ads are targeted to specific countries, I don't get the same ads most of you yet ... so I can't find out all of this myself.
