just read the post count thread, and i have an idea, how about being the first site to do away with the post count and instead having the progression from noob to god done by the moderators, isn't it true, just about every thread is read by the moderators (i have no ieda how you guys do it) why don't they give your profile a "vote" or something instead of a post count, it's an invisible/unknown number slowly prompting the progression of names/titles or whatnot showing you are not a dumbass.  then people would actually need to have enough brain cells to rub together to recieve status, instead of the amazing ability to click a mouse.  you get the point right?  just an idea.
i think it would be cool, at least different anyways, how many forums have a post count, kindof childish really

I don't think that's going to happen.  We have enough work as it is with cleaning up the forums, moving and deleting posts, etc.  Having to vote on each of our 150,000+ members would be a task that we can't really take on.  Add to it the fact that IPB wouldn't really allow this to be done easily.

We'd easily need another 50 moderators to accomplish something like this.  As it stands either post counts will stay or they will go.

Yup, I sure as hell don't want start grading members.

My vote is for no post count, but there is no real current vote right now.

Plus there is the fact that if anyone could vote then you know that some people would sign up under numerous accounts just to give a bad vote on a member they didn't like!

I think what we have now is pretty good, no post count on General chat and buy&sell.
You know bumping a thread in the Buy&Sell section shouldn't add to your post count.



My opinion is keep it were it is, or just completely remove it.
