granted ... they don't get our info unless we click and answer on their advertisement (periodically at top of page) ... so i suppose you aren't 'directly' responsible ... but who is it that you (and we now) are 'indirectly' supporting? ... who are these people you've sold ad space to who are asking about our general socio- statistics without giving any indication or who THEY are? ... M$?

(yall, please look for 'strong armed woman' at bottom left of top vert - as in 'divert.' but i wouldn't suggest answering their questions.)

i'm really looking for an answer here!

if the board needs $ just ask US! i'd give twice what i give to NPR or the Smith for what i'm getting here! no need to court others.

i may have gone about advertising this thread wrongly, but my question is still very valid ... i just wondered what all yall's opinion was about this info selling the board is evidently undertaking.

i'll not bother any of you guys ever again ... but do YOU ever wonder who's selling or buying your personal info?

here's what ya do ... work your way through and around the website here and keep paying attention to the advertisement at the top of the page ... i forget what the rest of it looked like ... but when you see an add up top with a 'strong armed woman' at the bottom left side, click on it and see where it takes you.

maybe it's because i'm from the mountains ... but sometimes i don't understand how lots of folks are able to stomach such Huxley-like interjections.

it might help you to know you're reading a guy's thoughts who threw out his tv (John Prine style).

you know those two guys who created The Simpsons? they said in an interview a couple years ago that they'd quit the show if people ever started to actually understand it.

wow this post has gone crazy!

i didn't see the actual interview ... heard that on some mediocre day show ... something like ET or similar ... that's just what they (or i guess now, 'he') was porported to have said ... although i'm not sure he's lived up to his prediction as, i agree, lots of people do now understand the simpsons.

actually, i believe that interview may have been done sometime when the simpsons were fairly new to television...like when not as many people were catching on ... hence my reference.
