Dvd Software That Supports Pal60
« on: August 25, 2004, 11:44:00 AM »

I'm having the same problems as you regarding the conversion that the Xbox does when playbacking NTSC DVDs with MS Dash (and Hacks)/DVDx2. It just ignores the PAL60 setting and keeps converting to PAL50 resulting in loss of frames. (jerky motion)
Indeed XBMC does support PAL60 wondefully but the lack of suppot for menus and awkward user interface for DVDs forces me to keep using the Enigmah video mode switcher every tiem i play a pal or ntsc dvd.
I never had those feathering problems you describe though... don't have a clue on what it could be.
As far as i know there's no way for a dash to autodetect a NTSC/PAL DVD and do a auto-switch when going to dvdx2/msdash but i'd sure would love this... It's the only thing that annoys me on the xbox except for the random lockups i have with unleashx.
