yes u can rename the name of the file such as instead of being f:/games/dvd2xbox0001 you can change it to f:/apps/HALO
do this by changing the dir name and just editing it to whatever u want. most of the time dvd2xbox will recognize the game though....

The best thing to do, is to edit the name of the xbe within the file with a program like xberename.  Xbe file format contains an internal field for the name of the game that is sometimes left blank.  It doesn't use the actual filename, as they are all default.xbe.  The benefit of actually renaming will save you lots annoyances if you ever plan to upgrade your dash etc everything will be ready to go guaranteed.

just let dvd2xbox recognize the dvd before pressing A (look at the status bar on the bottom). Afterwards there won't be no empty dirs any more.
