Let Me Know What You Think Of The Interviews
« on: January 24, 2004, 07:12:00 PM »

To bring a bit more interesting content to Xbox-Scene.com I decided to do some interviews with people in and around the 'xbox scene'.

As first interview, I talked with Michael Steil (also known as mist), one of the main guys behind the Xbox-Linux project (xbox-linux.org).
The interview goes about himself, his opinions and views of the scene, the history of Xbox-Linux, software-exploits, MS, future goals of the project and lots more.

Check it out: Interview with Michael Steil(Xbox-Linux).
Let me know if you like interviews ... more will follow soon!

i enjoyed reading! it was a really nice wat to put the xbox-linux project into a more concrete prospective...

make me remember my (extremly recent) newbie days... i can't the blieve the timing, i just got home from 4 weeks of wondering what i could actually do with the xbox my brother bough 1 or 2 weeks before i left. the first thing i did when i got home was search xbox-linux... that weekend i emial micheal about getting the mechinstaller working (which was brand spanking new) and finally got the dash hack installed after about 10 emails that had about 2 mins inbetween them   i ended up trying to burn ed's xiso as an iso or vise versa and decided to give up on the thing   look where i am now

ps i wish you asked him is views on xbox-windows, wonder what he thinks of the project

Great Interview.  I am a fan of Xbox Linux and have played with Gentoox so it is nice to read where it all came from and where it might be going.  Keep it up xbox-scene, more interviews with key members of the community would be welcome, but I'd LOVE to see an interview with someone from MS and what they REALLY think about the whole scene :)

I really enjoyed reading Steil's interview.  His opinion regarding homebrew development and how
MS could use it in order to limit piracy was especially interesting.

So, how about an interview with Andrew Huang (bunnie)?

the interview made for very interesting reading.
must admit i like the sound of getting the views of the "scene" from someone at MS, even bill gates :-) (however unlikely that is lol)

Nice interview. Thx!

But I too had wished you could have asked him about xbox-windows, and whether he thinks it's time to divert attention to that project. You know, one of the downfalls of linux on the xbox is that it runs pretty slow w/GUI.

Maybe you can email him the question Xantium?
I'll do it if you wish, let me know...

Now there's an idea... perhaps, Xantium, you could notify us before an interview will take place and allow the members of X-S to suggest questions that are really on their mind.

Perhaps an announcement of the intended interviewee and a little background. They do this on Slashdot.
