Modding Made Easy Tutorials:
Using ISO's and Slayers 2.6

Disclaimer:  First off, I am in NO WAY RESPONSIBLE for your Xbox or anything that should or may happen to it if using Slayer's.  This is not to scare you, but I do not want to be liable!

Moving on.....

This tutorial describes what tools to use for ISO creations, technical FAQ's about Slayer's and some issues and trouble shooting using Slayer's.

Files that are needed:

Slayers AutoInstaller v2.6................................. Found HERE
Nero or Alcohol 120%....................................... Found HERE
Qwix............................................................... Found HERE (We will also go over what ISO makers not to use!)

Once you have Slayers AutoInstaller, it wil be in an .exe format.  Run it and go to the homepage to get the Archive code to successfully run the .exe.  The code is on the homepage, you have to scroll down a little to find it.

After you have successfully ran the exe, there should be an .iso file created.

If you are using the Installer for Xbox HDM use, scroll down towards the end of the tutorial.
If you are using the Installer for use in the Xbox, keep reading.

So, you want to keep reading so you can use this disc in the xbox.  What you want to do is open Nero or Alcohol 120%

Using Nero, go to Nero Burning ROM.  Then cancel out of the window that pops up asking what type of cd to make.  Go to the top, click Recorder>Select Recorder.  Then select the drive you want to use for the CD-rw.  After you have done that hit ok and go back under Recorder>Burn Image.  Then select the Slayers 2.6 iso and do these following options:
Burn at the lowest possible speed
Finalize CD
And do "Disc-at-once" Method

Hit burn and wait for it to finish.

For Xbox HDM use----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

xISO is a very bad tool and should never be used as of 12/12/05.  (Therefore, never use it!)
They said it is fixed and all patched up, its still not though.

Quix should be used to extract the iso and then use the slayers files and place them in the xbox hdm folder.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to create an Xbox ISO file, again use Qwix.  There is a nice guide right here to follow.

After you are done you can view your ISO to see what it looks like using xboxisoreader, but it is optional.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Troubleshooting:

If you are having trouble loading the Slayers AutoInstaller in the Xbox, try using a CD-rw brand new out of the package that has NOT been used before.  I used Memorex and it worked fine with all three types of drives.  The reason being, use a CD-rw brand new because the xbox's weak dvd laser will have trouble if it is written over and over again.

If the installer loads then goes the MSDash Audio Player, what you have to do is extract the ISO file with Extract XISO and then go into the evox.ini file under "c" and edit it so the item "Autoload Audio" is No.  (It is at the top, its something like Autoload Audio.)  Then use Qwix again to remake the ISO and burn it as follows above.

If you have any troubleshooting questions, please ask me here on this thread.
Or feel free to PM me.

Haha this makes so much no sense. I am unsure wether I should move this to the game backup forums(why the hell is it posted here?), to the slayers forum or just straight to the garbage bin.

Lolz.  I didnt know where else to post it, but I thought that it could be under XBE Expoits because it had to do with slaYers and XBE Exploiting.  You can move it if you want or delete it if you feel it is bad.

What does this have to do with XBE exploits?

No offence offcourse but maybe you should spent more time on the scene and investigate more before you write your tutorials. Also try to keep it simple and direct and more step by step like. This jumps really from topic to topic without really informing usefull information. And please do not post stuff here that really has nothing to do with exploits.
I recall your former tutorials weren't all that either....(even though you replied to a bunch of people directing them at your wonderfull moddig made easy tuts  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) ). I am sure you mean well but seriously you are just a beginner and you shouldn't act like you know much.

Yeah, to add a little more on it....
you dont become a respected board member, by writing a bunch of half-azzed, somewhut almost decent tutorials,  you just need to provide the most accurate info you can, you investigate other board members findings, feel free to attempt modding manually, by patching your own xbe's, and just look out for other newbs, because we all were newbs in the beginning.

Your trying to help, and thats worth noting, but crap like this, dont help no one.

Also, feel free to use font colors & bolds to highlight sections to draw attension.
