XBC-Link does something similar, and I think it could be expanded to allow control for the whole screen, as opposed to the xbconnect window only.  You might want to pop a suggestion on their site.  You WILL have to run a server app on your pc to use this though (I think right now xbconnect includes that sort of a server)
