yeah i think the whole idea around it was anti remote .... since it cost extra just to play dvds

Just patch the MS Dash (make a copy of it first if you like than patch that.)
DVDX version 1. Just not as many features (I guess, only used DVDX2 once).

thanks for the replays ,it really sucks that dvdx v2 doesnt support remotes!

But wont it be possible to remap the remote buttons (same way you would do a pc joystic to use keyboard keys with software) example play mapped to A witch is what dvdx uses to as play?

i also am wondering why it wouldnt support a remote. what about for people who bought the remote and then modded their box. i just modded one for a friend and hes upset that he cant play dvds with the remote.

Then patch it free, i belive theres patches for the most common dashes out now.

yeah or use tHc Lite- its multi region and other than that has all the same features of the m$ dash.

plus there is MR-patcher for the m$ dash but will get you banned from live if you access the live while its still patched. I used to use a patched M$ dash on my f partition, but now just use tHc lite- it has all the features of the m$ dash including dvd playback with the remote

Can i start Thc from the evox only to play DVD? os command the evox to use Thc to play DVD?
