Seeking 2d Artist
« on: January 13, 2004, 10:21:00 PM »

Hello all,

Since I received so much free fun from the Xbox homebrew scene, and beign a developper that just loves games, I've started working on a title of my own.  I call it BombBattleX.  Briefly, it'll be pretty true to the battles of Super Bomberman 2 on SNES, but fully 3D and cellshaded.  Of course, I plan on adding system link support when all else is done.

I'm a bit overwhelmed right now, as I am alone to design, model and code this thing (except for the music, thanks to a talented techno musician).  What I'd need is some help from ONE talented 2D artist as I suck at it.  The game engine and skinned models are coming along quite well, but boy do my UI design attempts look like crap (not to mention the time I waste trying and trying and trying).

So what do I need? Well for now, I'd like to see what you can do for the main interface only.  If you're interested, PM me a 640x480 image containing (at least, please feel creative):

- The title (BombBattleX)
- The following menu items: "Single Player", "Multi Player", "Options", "Credits" and "Quit"
- An untouched 200x200 pixels square for 3D model rendering according to menu item focus.
- An area that contains A and B buttons UI actions (select and back as usual)
- I am insisting that all art be original, NO CHEAP GOOGLE CLIPART please as everything else is an original creation, right down to the music.
- If some of the elements in your picture are to be animated (ie buttons or whatever) please describe in the PM.

I hope someone's interested, cause if I'm to pull through this, I want all aspects to look and feel very polished :)
