Beta testing phase started. I'm still in need for MA and SC-NTSC users. You only qualify for tester if you are certain of yourself that you can recover easy. You don't qualify if you are unknown around here or are at a somewhat beginner stage.

I'd be willing to test MA-NTSC, however I don't use LIVE if that makes any difference.

I currently have enough testers. Only thing I'm curious about is getting test results from the VGA options....So if anyone could test that?

Or you could set a dual retail multiboot so you boot to a live safe msdash with the eject button.

is there a xbe that patches back the public key and runs (ms)xboxdash.xbe
so the bios is XBL safe ?
or is it done some other way

Good job Krayzie, it's working great on my v1.0 5960 dash 4034 kernel.  I used the MA installer and it worked like a charm.  Just need an updated readme with more instructions on multiboot ( the best feature of ndure ).  I'll try and make one or make a tutorial when I get the chance.

Edit:  Found something weird.  After I had set up a dual boot (retail on eject) I went to check my network settings.  When I hit A on this, the revolving green circle at the bottom (loading) is there for only a few seconds and then the screen goes black.  ??

Ah ha! That was it Krayzie!  Man, you're smart!  So, even though I can't change network settings, if they are correct, I will still be able to go onto Xbox Live and everything?  Also, I switched the mod off and it allowed me to change the network settings.  So, there might be something to add to the readme in the sentence where you say to do Live Accounts before you install the softmod.  ( just make sure their network settings are correct as well ) < or else a lot of people would have to switch off and on which nobody likes  Thanks man.

Textbook, that information has been posted numerous times in this forum, unlike this:

krayzie, the network settings can be changed via the softmod too (because they're not stored in the virtual's)...

If DHCP the IP is Determined by the MAC & The DHCP Server.

If Static the IP is determined by the dashboard loading the setting.

With an Ndure "retail" install, put the full retail 185ead00 in the virtual C and change its Network Settings.  Then deactivate Ndure and take a look at the retail dash's Network Settings...

(I'd expect this works for other softmods with an equivalent virtual setup too, but I haven't confirmed that.)
