Great job with the 0.4.8, seems to work fine.

The copy process seems a little slower, but maybe that's because of the bugfix.  Or is the percentage thingy slowing it down a little?  If it is, then perhaps you could just show the overall percentage, and just leave the progress bar for the individual files.  Or maybe have a setting in the .xml file to turn on/off the percentage display.

Personally, I'd prefer not to sacrifice speed for the sake of seeing the percentage, I was quite happy with just the progress bars (it's easy enough to estimate the percentage from them smile.gif )  But then again, maybe the speed decrease has nothing to do with the percentage displays, and I'm just rambling on pointlessly...

DZV, ya i also noticed it slower a bit.. but now rock solid and stable.. which i would prefer..
maybe too fast is not good somtimes.. which might of caused the lockups in 046-047?

Zero Four Eight  is GRRRRRRRRRRREAT!

primo job Wiso..

and yes its a sad day.. and how much i love this program since day 1.. R.I.P pxHDLoader

Hey Guys

I jsut started to use dvd2xbox 0.4.7 and tried doing Audio CD's but never worked. Tried numerous CD's.

Can the program definately read CD'R?

It can. But 0.4.7 has problems with title names greater 39 letters (I was too lazy). Disable network or grab 0.4.8.

About the speed issue, which versions did you compare ? I don't think this is due to the progress bars or the percentage because they're already calculated and only displayed.

Just wanted to add an update to the speed problem.  It seems it might not be a problem with DVD2Xbox.  I still have some more testing to do, but here's what I've found:

When I was ripping the game using 0.4.4 to 0.4.7 I was ripping to the E: drive.  When I reported the speed decrease in 0.4.8 I was ripping to the F: drive.  Now, I just tried ripping to the E: drive with 0.4.8 and the speed was nice and fast again.

I've noticed this problem before when FTPing to an Xbox...  transferring to E: was faster than transferring to F:  This is using a 10G Seagate (Xbox OEM) that has been formatted to use the extra 2g as the F: drive.  I don't think this problem exists with larger drives, but I'm about to plug in an 80g or 120g drive and see what the copy speeds are like.  I'll post back with results.

NightL1fe, were you ripping to E or F when you noticed the speed difference?

You need a CD-R capable DVD drive to read burned CDs. Try original CDDAs. If they work your drive may not support CD-R.

can you include the media player like Power DVD thingy that plays files, iso, disc right after finishing ripping/copying the disc? or is it already and am I just woke up?  wink.gif

This is part of another great programm (XBMP  wink.gif ) and will not be integrated into dvd2xbox because it is a ripping programm.

is it possible to have dvd2xbox rip selected items on the dvd.
so that space isn't wasted on the hdd with movies that are not wanted
like documentaries, behind the scenes, menus, etc...

Please don't forget to mention the version every time, thanks.
Did this only apply to certain files or to all ?
Maybe it's again a slash issue but I had no problems during testing.
I try this out when back home.

Yeah I'm sorry.  I tested them on 0.4.8. I had no problems copying games & audio CDs - it only gave me problems when I tried to copy data CD's like the ones described below - with only a movie in AVI format and in some cases an SRT file.

so 0.48 works great on game copying?

I found a small problem with CD-A copying...

I have a CD where CDDB provides tags in the following pattern:

Album name: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Artist name: yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Track names:

yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - track 1. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - track 2. bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - track 3. cccccccccccccccccccccc
etc...

The trouble is, as you can guess, because the tack names are so long, they get truncated, and that happens before the unique part of the name - so I copy a whole album, only to find that only the last track exists (each successive track overwrites the one before it).  Each track has been named:

yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - tra.ogg
