Update time.
Acording to the USC mathmatical library, the list is not compleate up untill the 42nd largest mennses prime. So the list we have is not anywhere near compleate. But just so happends that the portion we have is far more than sufficiant because the sum of the first and last prime is far more than 613 didgets long. So right now Marc is either, or has made an algarythme (i cant spell that) to determine when we can exclude values from the top of the list. I honestly have no clue what the hell he was talking about, but the guy has a masters in some wierd math course that I didnt even knew existed, so I trust him.
Also, Exploited751, has created a small java application that monitors the cluster remotely. But this moment marks the end of my knowlage of the project. So from now on, updates will just be cut and past things from either Marc (cluster master) or Dave "Exploited751" (lead programer)

Well, these random smartass remarks on what the number is would be funnier if they were actually prime numbers!

Interesting to see how this whole 'prime hacking with a list' plays out. Once the key is cracked you'll probably be legally assaulted by MS...not to mention if you release the key publically, I know the hacking scene would beat your ass for destroying services like XBox Live.

The LAST thing people should be doing is discouraging this kind of work. I'd like to see the look on the faces of those who doubted shakaru if he indeed manages to crack the code.
If history has taught us something, it's that you should Never say Never.
Remember when we thought the limit on HD size in Xbox was 137GB?

alrighty, I'm quite wasted on vodka, so by all means don't take me literally (and on this I am deadly serious)...

I do support this project, no matter how improbable since there is always that miniscule chance of success.

do I think it'll be pulled off? no, but if it is, will I be happy? yes.

as I said, this will be one of my more limited posts, but I apologise for that since I probably shouldn't post whilst drunk, but I doubt anyone is particularly bothered.

Anyone know about this rummor that has been flying around DOD that someone cracked a yahoo rsa2048 key On the 30th? Ive been trying to find someone out about it but I cant find one mention of it online, just on BBC and a SBS on the tv. Anyone know something i dont yet?
