huh.gif  I read through ipodder's tut on the EEE but can't seem to get the PBL to run.  I have read the readme and the tut over and over again and gone through all my ideas.  I used differenct versions of the PBL (lite, metoo-m8plus-v1.4.1, PBL1.4.1 by gueux) but the only one that would actually load was the gueux one.

dry.gif  And even after it loaded, when I chose the bios to run from the list, the box would freeze at a screen that looked like a piece of the original xbox dashboard.

The other ones when selected to run would just show a black screen or the loading screen.

I am using a v1.6 box with the Krayzie UXE rescently installed.
I am running the PBL from it's own directory on E ( and I tried it in E:/apps folder too)
My Kernal 5838
My Dash   5960

The tut for PBL which I found HERE states that I need to do all kinds of crazy stuff just to run the PBL.

As far as ipodder's tutorial...this PBL is only used to see the actual C when FTPing to the XBOX and not the Virtual C so that you can make a duplicate of the actual C.

I'm sure in my hours of searching the forums and tuts I just missed a good updated explanation of the PBL and how to use it.

Like I said, I have tried everything I can think of so far after reading the readme's included with each one.  None of the bios's that I had would open in XBtool.  A few opened in EVtool.

A point in the right direction would be much appreciated thanks!  wink.gif

just open the EEE installer out of the apps folder and PBL will be loaded automatically. I left the settings in there so you should be able to get FTP acces from within the installer

My question is...do I rename xboxdash.xberetail to xboxdash.xbe?  And do I rename the folder /fontsretail to /f0nts?

i also have a question... this is directly from your read-me..

Switching to modded state:

-Perform the Easter egg exploit. This works best when you already have a soundtrack copied to your HD using the msdash.
Select music, the soundtrack you copied over, copy, copy, new soundtrack, and put in the following as name. This must be
exactly like this: <<Eggsßox>> ,Done (the <<>> are under symbols and the ß is under accents. Also note the capital E).

When the UEEE is installed you would boot to the switching screen right away.
When the SCEEE is installed you will have to trigger the game save exploit. (start game, Linux, checkpoints)

The bold section is what im interested in knowing...how exactly do i do this? and what are the linux, and checkpoints part? Had to ask, since there are no tuts on SCEEE yet. thanx.

those are just options that come with the sc exploit. Just a matter of selecting those options.

both the SCEEE and the UEEE are in the Krayzie EEE Installer package which is currently not being distributed anymore. You could just set up his live acount, then install the exploit so he can coldboot with retail games and go live.

like I said multiple times. coldbooting from a retail disc has the same effect as using the UEEE switch. The way I see it the only benefit the installer has is the SCEEE switch which will let you acces the onlinedash so you can set your acount and stuff. But you can also just use the installer for that since that's only a one time experience. I cannot freely distribute it due to legal reasons. Also don't pm me asking me to send either the EEE or the UXE installer. It's against the forums rules and could get you banned. People having trouble finding my UXE installer should start looking in xbins.

Not to beat a dead horse........ but, why is it not distributed anywhere?  I mean if the UXE installer is found in the usual places, why not the SCEEE? (unless you just dont want to distribute it?)  What I am asking more or less is, how is UXE app any more "legal" than the SCEEE app?  And, if the UXE app is still distributed, why isn't the SCEEE app?  I am not trying to be arrogant or a punk, I just really would like to know.

Also, when you say its not being distributed anymore, does that mean "not distributed ANYWHERE?"  I heard it used to be registered at Sky torrents, but now its not?  Sorry if I'm being demanding, but I just dont see the logic behind allowing one type of app and not the other, unless its just personal preference.

the EEE installer contains copyright protected game files (although they won't do anything special) which fall under the category "piracy".
