Krayzie Eee Installer
« on: February 09, 2005, 10:06:00 AM »

What?
An installer that installs either the Uber EEE or the Splinter Cell EEE.

Why?
Makes it easy to toggle between retail and modded state without the use of an exploitable game. Could be usefull for xbox live

How?
It brings you to a switcher by performing the Easter Egg in the msdash.

Where?
Not anounced. I made the installer for personal use but there might be versions floating on the web also. I will not give links to them and I'd apreciate it if people also do not request for links on the forums.

Feedback welcome

This is a very helpful installer Krayzie. I myself might use this in the future, for personal installs rather than doing everything by hand. tongue.gif Even I still make mistakes and hit ERROR screens.  biggrin.gif

Having tested this in its early stages (thanks again for letting me help out, krayzie), I can safely say that this is a very well-designed and very functional package.  I'm currently running it on my v1.0 K3944 xbox.

Also, be on the lookout for a tutorial from me soon.  It'll be similar to my UDE one.

yeah, it's working fine on my K: 4034 and seems to be a very solid distro. i never ran into any problems with it and didn't see any potential problems in the scripts that i read.

I've read a lot on these forums about the EEE installer and I was wondering if that installer softmods your Xbox on its own or if it just installs a part of the softmod.

Only a part of the softmod.  You have to have UXE (or ude, or ude2, or similar) for this to work or to be of any use.

OK, so i have UXE installed. What exactly does this package do? Does it enable you to launch the msdash? if so what is involved? Do you burn the package to a disc or something? Any chance of a bit more detail/step by step?

Thanks

the installer installs the UEEE or the SCEEE making you able to switch with the use of the easter egg exploit and without the use of an exploitable game. The installer is ran from the apps folder look for ipodders tut for a step by step guide

So can I use this installer on a plain Xbox, or do I have to use your other one first, or what? Also, I can't find it in the exploits/_Packages part of the usual place.

no you need a succesfully installer exploit first. this package is only an addition that. It isn't available at the usual places. I can't tell you where to get it either.
