Is there some way to change the settings in the DVDX2 program so that movies play full screen (instead of wide screen or letterbox mode)?   Any help is much appreciated!

Does DVD-X2 make use of the video settings chosen in the M$ Dash?

An alternative work-around (short of shelling out for the proper remote) is to zoom in a bit using the right-hand thumbstick.

Or you could zoom in on the screen a little with one of the analog sticks.

Guys I got the same problem.  I have played several commercial DVD's (Simpsons Season 3!) which I know are fullscreen, but DVDx2 plays them in a squished letterbox mode - it somehow thinks they are anamorphic.  My TV (Sony XBR 36'') detects anamorphic feeds and somehow DVDX2 is throwing that bit out there.  What's funny is the bios boots into full screen (4:3) but when I launch DVDX2 it immediately and permanently goes into 16:9.  Even when I switch the display mode inside the app it is widescreen still.  Any ideas what is up here?
