ok...i missed devz3ro saying that he hasn't rewritten it....my bad.

when it said that leaving it unplugged caused retail games not to boot, i assumed that meant a clock loop. it's different? didn't know that before... the readme is old though so i'm assuming this isn't the case with UEEE right?

overall, it looks like a great job and great release. i'll go ahead and give this one a try...i've got some free time to kill.

The correct UEEE setup doesn't include any files in the boot chain (and therefore cannot suffer from any of the potential hack related start-up issues) eh. wink.gif

All right, ok, whoever seems to like deleting my posts, just PM me what the hell it was for and its over, aight?

UEEE though, so far sounds like a 1.6 compatible easter egg hack - although I'm not too sure (Was EEE 1.6 compatible?). Someone give it a shot.

Lol, I want MS to upgrade their dashboard already and hopefully release some new bug into the works. Finger dancing sucks.

hate to sound uninformed (even though i usually am) but would one of you kind gentlemen tell me what the layout of my c drive is supposed to look like after installing this? i think i'm getting confused somewhere...(just the placement of the hack files)

edit: ricecake...i don't think EEE was 1.6 compatible and the advantages of UEEE over EEE are (as far as i know) no clock loop esque problem (whatever that problem mentioned in the original readme was) and no ROE/J

the EEE was 1.6 compatible but it just required you to load hd flagged game xbe which could trigger a gamesave exploit. That was only possible with Mechassault and splinter cell. This new one only skips the game step and boots straight to the habibi signed xbe.
I haven't got the time to look to it but it looks like you need to copy the contents of the dashdata folder created by devz3ro's bat to the contents of your own dashdata folder overwriting the settings_adoc.xip. then put the fonts in C:\xodash and then if all goes well it should boot a habibi signed xbe on E root.

edit: blink.gif
Just tested it and indeed works good on a 5838 kernel. Although still no live dash acces which kinda sucks. If you allready own an exploitable game I rather think you might wanna use that for switching. It should be just as fast and you have full live dash acces.

Now if we only found an exploitable xbe that doesn't look for fonts in c:\fonts and c:\xodash\ .

People should remember that if their kernel is low enough that they could use the old EEE/Double dash combo which did have live console acces.

UEEE has been known about for ages, but didn't seem to bring anything new to the scene

@krayzie: it's not "competing" with bootstrap based exploits that may/not require a switcher though!  It's an option for those that don't want to do that and/or aren't going to have an exploitable game available at all times (especially on 5713/5838's) eh. wink.gif
