Dualboot
« on: January 24, 2005, 07:20:00 PM »

I am new to the xbox, but I have successfully modded my xbox and installed a larger hd.  I currently have used waffletools to softmod my xbox.  I understand the concepts with the dualboot.xbe and its source.

What I would like to know is how to create the trayopen and trayclosed.xbe files.  What should the asm file for these look like.  I have scoured the boards here to no avail.

I have checked Krayzie's tutorial but it does not specify how to create this.  If anyone can provide some information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I used the following to make my own.  - This is from Krayzie

How To Boot Another Xbe With Tray Open., installing dual-habibi.xbe manually

Trayopen  should boot to your gamesave xbe

Trayclosed should boot to either C:\Dashboard or E:\dashboard

I used E:\ and it made shadowc alot easier to setup.

This should point you in the right direction.

Just need to read and experiment.

Edit:  If your trying to do what I think your trying to do, just need to recompile trayopen/closed with NK10.  No need to mess with dual-habibi.  Actually, leave trayopen alone. it already boots to gamesave. It does not have to be NKP10.  Just recompile trayclosed if changing the dash location.
