Another GUI v1.0

This is attempting to be the most complete, start to finish, softmod tutorial/ appling system. Not only does this take advantage of NKP-Config & XCFCGUI as plugins, but it provides a full frontal FTP Client, with the ability to see how, why, & where things get placed.

This program has the ability to automatically create a package based on your xbox's files, or use anyone of the available packages for download to softmod your system.

How it work?

It is a simple FTP Client, with automated scripts to do the work for you. Such things as obtaining the eeprom, and getting the update.xbe are all automated, as is setting up shadowC and things of that nature as well.

What does it do?

It teaches you about how things work in an xbox inviroment. From how it gets loaded to where it gets placed. Also the ability to take a pre-built package, and edit it on the fly, to get the feel you want.

I dont have a game, now what?

Then this program may/or may not help you. It can still teach you where things will need to go, by using the virtual xbox function. It can also still do automated things when you provide ftp access.

Whens it expected?

Soon, very soon.

You can check the progress here

As always comments, critisim, complants, requests, or just you whining about it not being ready are welcome.

QUOTE(JaXbox)
what language do you plan to write it in ?

I have a tendency to GUI in vb6, and then write my core functions into a C++ structured dll. Same appies here, All graphical setup will be written in VB6, with almost all sub-routines & functions being written in C/C++.

The Virtual Xbox Core was written in ASM, and not by Me. The author prefers to remain anon, so I will respect that wish.

Anyone wishing to help, could throw some little gamesaves together, that just loads an evox, with a very limited evox.ini, the only option should be for running the backup function & Network settings only.  Since all interaction will be thru the GUI itself.

Then upon first connect to the xbox, the eeprom will be obtained, the softmod will be applied, and a XboxHDM  ISO will be created.

The whole step of the way will be throughly explained, and everything that can be changed will be included in the Interface.

The GUI will also provide Script editing, for the common ini, xml files that dashboard use. This may be of some use.

Virtual Xbox Function??

This is a new field for me, but I have been programming a low-level xbox emulator, NOT to PLAY GAMES, but to test the loading process, so that you may know if your xbox will boot before hand or not.

that my friend will be the best feature ever. <

ah an xbox boot process simulator. i have had this idea but i wasn't sure if it was possible, it would surely help people who don't have recovery methods check that their boot process is fine before changing things.

great work daddy! <
