Uxe Tricky Install
« on: December 28, 2004, 11:55:00 AM »

I have a question. My brother's Xbox is modded and he has to go into audio/copy/new soundtrack/copy to open Evox to allow him to play copied games. He has phoenix bios w/ (I believe) the audio hack. I want to put UXE / UnleashX on his box. Can I just run the waffle install? Do I need to remove the phoenix stuff? Thanks.

It shouldnt pose any threats.

But I'd revert to stock.

I usually wipe the C complete, then place the orginal Xbox Book.xtf & Xbox.xtf  in the root. (Dont forget that step) You can place them in c:\fonts also.

Then I put in a LIVE enabled game , and tell it to update my dash.

This DOES NOT require Online or XBL. The required files are on the game iteself.

After it is done, you can reboot into a freshly restored M$ dash

There are of course other ways.
