How To Get The Ems Usb 2 To Be Recognized On Xbox

I got the USB female cable from Lik-sang to allow me to plug in USB devices, so i got the EMS USB 2 also from lik-sang that allows playstation controllers to be used through a usb port. So xbox->usb-female->playstation controller converter->ddr dance pads. And i'm obviously going to use it with the Stepmania port, but i can't get the xbox to recognize the USB adater, any suggestions on how to get the xbox to recognize hardware when plugged into the xbox-usb female adapter?
