How do you expect to use this IM service any how?  Unless you hook up a mouse an keyboard, this idea wont be n00b friendly...

First off, dude spell "newbie" right.
Second, the XBox won't accept a keyboard or mouse with out Linux any way... That rules out all the newbies.

There are plenty of non-linux apps that support a keyboard (including a retail game)..

Well as I get the foot outa my mouth.
Interesting. What game is that?
Even so, most of the people who have an XBox have no knowledge of any kind of mod. And since you can’t buy the cables with the USB plugs on it at your local Circuit City, the only people who know about them are the modders.

Maybe Mîcrosoft is planning on releasing a keyboard some time soon.

QUOTE (dfunked @ Jun 14 2003, 03:04 AM)
the xbox linux distro of GentooX home version 2 comes with gAIM already on it which is MSN / AIM messenger i think.. altho it's almost impossible to read what you're trying to write...

if you want it bad, get linux. if you don't know how to use linux, well wait until someone makes something, if they make something at all

Yeah, I am using linux right now with gaim, but I want something that I dont need to boot up because it takes forever to boot up.  Yeah and it is really hard to read.

Also, would you be able to use a keyboard and mouse with the xbox with a stand alone app if they make one and you get a xbox to usb adapter and then a usb to ps/2 adapter so you can use a ps2 mouse and keyboard with it if they program that in?

While on the subject of gentoo, I get black and white screens in gentoo.  It says that I have to log in as root.  How would I log in as root to be able to get rid of the black and white that comes up.

I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused and posting in the wrong forum.   You dont have to flame me, just tell me nicely that i posted in the wrong forum.
