Well I bought a used xbox, ok I have Action replay and the xbox is v 1.0 im pretty damn sure. I also bought a MA but it turned out to be the plat. version. Anything at all I can do to soft mod it at this point?

platinum = no exploit, i got the nonplatinum used at ebgames for like 8 bucks though

One other quick question for ltools does it work fine for 1.0? someone told me I had to replace some files with older kernal files. I have a 4034 kernal, am i fine?

your kernel should be fine, i've never had any problems w/ my 1.0

One last report for the day and one last question for the day, just for shits and giggles I tried to boot it with the plat. version and it said "couldnt open Run linux". Now shouldn't it have atleast loaded the save? or do the plat versions not even load the save?

Some platinum versions do work, Check the number on the inside of the disc.

I did that , only my copy was in such shit condition that it wouldn't boot after the first few times, no matter what I did to clean/repair the disc.

So I had to sacrifice my copy of Splinter Cell to be my 'emergency game disc'.

thats possible, but its more liekely that the platinum version wont do it
