Uxe K5105 Hanging?
« on: December 07, 2004, 05:02:00 AM »

Hi people, Can someone please point out the obvious thing I am doing incorrectly.

This is my C:
CODE

Audio
XBox Book.xtf
Xbox.xtf
evox.ini
evoxdash.xbe
fonts
    bert-5101-01.xtf          (from s1974272)
    ernie.xtf
f0nts
    XBox Book.xtf
    Xbox.xtf
settings_adoc.xip
skin
xboxdash.xbe                  (md5sum=8ab653c39f555758fb65d9014928c4cd size=1974272)
orig-xboxdash.xbe
xboxdashdata.1012a700
xodash

and E:
CODE

boot.cfg
default.xbe
M8_LBA48_IGR_Q-06-BFM.bin
TDATA
UDATA

I don't understand why this is not loading the E:/default.xbe? it just hangs forever even if I add s.xtf or s2.xtf! If I add s3.xtf I get error 21. The e:/default.xbe is def signed with habbii key and the kernel is 5105.

Can anyone please help? I have used this exploit on version 1.6 boxes before, i cant understand why it won't work on this older version.

Thank you for any help!

- are the RC4 keys identical from the bios and bios loader?
  - Can't combine those from diffirent packages

- Try the uxe compete package from the usual places and use the fonts  from /s1994752. This allways works. Also the bios and loader are matching within this package, so succes guaranteed.

greetz.

I presume you know that bert has to be copied into 'fonts' before ernie because of the way the FATX filesystem works? If you didnt just delete the fonts folder, create it again and then copy bert first.

Thanks for the help!

@cloudhead :
the bert file is def going in first.

@DaddyJ :
THanks I will give that a go tonight.

@gui.do :
The RC4 keys are the ones that came with metoo-m8pack-v1.4.zip. What do you mean "other packages"? I thought the RC4 keys were always the debug ones.
I will also try the "UXE Complete package" tonight.

Thanks again.

Yeah, try generic or the premade package at xbins but however, what you are using is not UXE.
Your title said you use uxe but the message indicate that you are using ude etc..  anyway, I would try uxe just in case.

If I read your message and title right, you are mixing the fonts with the wrong xboxdash.

If you want to use the uxe fonts, you must uses the xboxdash.xbe that has these characteristics.
                * The special UXE update.xbe:

                  - update.xbe has file size 1994752 and md5sum

                    9f94df3c5d180f8dc16c9fd1d74fded9.

                  - works with all kernels (3944-5838) and all regions.

However, the xboxdash.xbe you posted above is
      * MS dashboard 4920 with directory xboxdashdata.1012A700

        - update.xbe has file size 1974272 and md5sum

          8ab653c39f555758fb65d9014928c4cd.

        - only works with kernels 5530 and less.

In others, either find the fonts that works with the xboxdash.xbe (ude font) or using the patch to patch your xboxdash.xbe to the one with file size 1994752.

patcher at this thread. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=281850

after you patched it, just replace the one in your c:\ with the one that you get after you patched it.  This assume that you are using the uxe fonts.  anyway, that thread has the uxe fonts too.

also, there is a metoo-m8plus-v1.4.1.zip (newest) at xbins.  Also, check to make sure that in the boot.cfg file, it loads the bios that you have.
