Images can ba had at a lot of places. I usually make mine from images at xbox.com.

Since it handles JPGs, that's the format I sue most often.

As for WMVs, those I usually make myself as captures from running the games, or alternately, you can sometimes find WMV files in the game itself. I've also converted BIK files using radgametools.com's BINK conversion tools and Windows Media 8 encoder (has to be version 8, not 9!!).

I like making my own, because I can include the intro movie, a title screen shot, and some in-game action as well.

The new skinning features in the NEXT release will allow you to use different fonts. Your only alternative at the moment is to manipulate the position and number of displayed lines in the skin to adjust the size.

As for the "D:" drive issue, I'm not sure what you mean.... as a DVD menu system, you want it to be self-contained. As a HD-based system, "D:" is mostly a symbolic matter, since D: is mapped to a subdirectory of a hard drive partition.

If you are running it from the hard drive, you merely point your game entries to the specific location, like:

F:/Games/MyGame/

(Obviously, "/" gets replaced by backslashes)

If that isn't what you are referring to, then you'll have to explain a bit better.  huh.gif

I wrote a blurb in "General Chat" on making WMVs for MXM. Try a search for that (feel free to post to bring it back to the top)

Windows Media 8 Encoder might be found as "wmtools.exe" on the net.... can't remember and I don't have the files handy. I think it's still available from M$, too.

I'm assuming these would be copywritten.. I, like BenJeremy have been using bik/wmv or video capture to make mine and would be glad to share if they are legal to do so.. But I'm not sure if they are in fact legal (obviously I own the games I've done it for).. Anyone know?
