Mxm Beta 9e Newbie Question
« on: January 21, 2003, 06:19:00 AM »

Almost every time this is because the image you used for a screenshot is not "proper"

What application are you using to create the image? Can you send me the images you used ([email protected])?

Try redoing the images as JPGs or Windows BMP files.

An easy way to tell would be to goto www dot xbox dot com and just download the screen shots from there.  They work fine for me with no additional processing.

cheers

i'll give it a try in the morning.

saved image files as .png approx size 200 x 280 made with PSP7(miniture front covers downloaded from cdcovers.cc

Mark

Thanks for the info.

I'll have to grab PSP7 and see what the deal is....

JPG is probably easier anyway, especially if you archive them like I do (yes, one day I'll get around to releasing my entire collection of screenshots)

Well, the "DefaultSkin" is compatible with the Complex MenuX skins, so that's a start... you can replace the relevant files with similar ones from CMX.

There are also two skin files regularly poted on the alt.binaries "xbox" newsgroups, a Star Trek "LCARS" skin and a Star Wars skin.

Tip: When you have multiple skin directories on a disc, MXM will randomly choose a different skin everytime you boot up, unless you specify the skin in the MXM.xml file.
