Xboxcopy Vs. Boxplorer

there is a difference, xbcopy just dumps the contents of the media in the dvd drive to the hard drive. simple , fast.

but boxplore is more like a xbox windows explorer. you can rename, move , copy, copy from dvd 2 hard drive.   it has alot more functions and usefullness.

i prefer boXplorer cuz thats how i got my xbox all set up before i got a crossover cable.

Yeah, in the backup games department, xbcopy is just really easy to use and is very fast.  Boxplorer is a little better if you want to name the folder and what not and you might not want to copy over everything off a game disc.

Good Luck and hope this helps

i highly recommend boxplorer, i tried xbcopy for a sec once, but it seems like all u can do is copy games to hdd, no other features.  ask around on mirc and find an ftp

XbCopy

Just rip the game and later if its worth keeping (ie rental) just use boxplorer to rename the folder to an appropriate name, and delete some files if you want (demos, movies, languages, etc)

Its MUCH faster

Twospoons, theres 2 different screens... you hit the left trigger for A, the right trigger for B, lets say you select a directory on A, you hit the clear button, select copy and it'll copy it to the directory you have opened on B =)

There are (2) panels. As mentioned previously, they are "A" (left trigger) and "B" (right trigger). "A" is generally the source, and "B" is generally the destination.

I prefer boxplorer. I looked at xbcopy once and said "so what, do they think I am a total moron, and I can't handle any options!".
