Ude Installed But No Ms Dash
« on: October 25, 2004, 08:42:00 PM »

I have Evox up and running after using UDE, but I can no longer get to the ms dash through Evox. I have tried following many of the tutorials on fixing this but have been unsuccessful.

I dont mind not being able to access the MS dash but want to be sure no clock loop error will occur.

Will the clock loop error be an issue since I cant get the ms dash to work or will evox boot fine?

You are aware that Evox has a clock on the upper right hand corner of the screen, right?

If you expierence any problems with that clock then thats when you should worry.

Saying that really is the only reason you want help getting into the ms dash.

Same problem here with a 1.6 PAL UXE modded Xbox. If I select MS DASHBOARD from Evox menu it shows the screen with the green Evox logo and then it reverts to evox!
Any hint ?

get slayers 4920 disc/ xbins

extract the xboxdash.xbe and the folder with the longest name.
I can't remember the name [ but sure hell got lots of alphanumberic characters in the foldername ]

Also extract the fonts folder , and rename if f0nts

rename xboxdash.xbe to msdash.xbe
hexedit msdash.xbe to change all f o n t s  - f 0 n t s

copy the 3 into your xbox C folder root
1 ) long name directory
2 ) hexed msdash.xbe
3 ) f0nts directory

refresh the menu cache in mxm and ensure that the config allows dashboards to be shown.

u should be able to load msdash.xbe by then.
