I have not heard an update for a while.  I dont see what they can improve on.  Maybe a nice Gui Interface but that is about it.

Sorry guys, I know it's been a while since the last update.

0.9f is being worked on at this moment... I'm trying to add the major features toward a 1.0 release. I am finishing up the generic skinning options before releasing 0.9f, but the 'new stuff' that is now working in my WIP so far includes:

* Help screens for MXM and games (cool option - launch game from it's help screen, too.)
* Passcode protection option for game entries (use a 5 digit alphanumeric code to prevent unauthorized access)
* No more Media directory.
* Better automated title and description options.

There's more, most of it internal changes for the generic skins. Basically, a skin designer can extend the game description, for example, to include more screenshots or display the information in new ways.

Once I get 0.9f, changes will be minor, and I can concentrate on purely bug fixing. Once I determine it's ready for primetime, I will release 1.0

cool.gif Hey BenJeremy great prog...  Thankx for all u'r hardwork...  Hope u'r debuging goes well... wink.gif

Also great start for a MXM tutorial site...  Very easy to get started...  Hope the more advanced tutorials get done soon too...  Although reading the MXM Readme file is very good at explaning most stuff....

Some ?'s i got are:  On some of the choices... are  on/true/1/yes or off/false/0/no
Is there any difference between on/true/1/yes  ??? or do all 4 mean the exact same thing...???
Same ? on off/false/0/no ???

I got a few other ?'s but I'm falling sleep... will ask them later...  blink.gif

Same thing. The configuration routines are set up to use just about anything reasonable as "true or false" - the idea being that somebody hand editing a configuration file does not need to remember what exactly "true or false" was exactly.

I've been using that convention in my code for over 7 years now.

In no way am I slagging mXm, I think it's quite awesome actually.. Especially the wmv preview.. Love that idea...

Just curious about 1 thing... Is this gonna stick to being strictly a game selector, or are there plans to include a ftpd eventually so it can become a dash too? smile.gif

Actually, I am looking at getting FTP, HTTP, and Telnet servers running in it, with a switch for "dashboard" mode.

That would be a post-1.0 feature, however.
