Bios Network Flash Issues In Vista
« on: June 02, 2009, 05:48:00 PM »

I've just installed a Duo X2 for the first time in a long while.  It is also the first time I've modded an Xbox and had Vista as my OS.  Anyway, try as I might, I can't manage to get Cromwell or Flashbios to recognise my PC.  On the PC side of things, the crossover cable  to connected directly to my onboard connection and I have the IP set at 192.168.0.1 and the Subnet at 255.255.255.0.  But under Network Connections Vista states that I have limited connectivity.  I've found a couple of other people online having problems FTP'ing with Vista, but no answers, so does anyone here have any idea how I can sort out something that was so simple in XP?

Well, I'm not sure of the specific menus for Vista but for Xp you would:
Go to My Network Places
Then click on the link on the side that says "View Network Connections"
Then right click your network adapter and select properties.
Under the heading 'This connection uses the following items", select "internet protocol (TCP/IP) " and hit the properties button.
Check next to "use this IP address" and put in the info for your Xbox and then save all of those settings.

Like I said, I don't know about Vista's menus but you can follow this as a general guide.
