Nes Controller To Xbox Via Usb Adapter

I've been wondering about that also. I almost just bought one from them. You built one yourself? Care to elaborate?

Has anyone had the opportunity to try this out to see if it works?

You can get the 4-play adapter, which you can use normal NES controllers with. I'm gonna buy one if they are XBOX compatable. (FCE Ultra)

Any compatability news anyone?!!??!

Wow, this thread hasn't had a post for months.  Well I hope some people will still respond.  I have in fact purchased one of these retropads as well as a usb 2 xbox adapater in the hopes of using my Super Nintendo controller with my Xbox.

The results I have so far?  It doesn't work.  The Super Nintendo controller, having been converted to USB, works fine in my PC, but it does not work at all in my Xbox through the usb2xbox adapter.  No response from the controller whatsoever.

So clearly it doesn't work "out of box."  Any suggestions?

Hmm see if it works in a xbox running linux. That way you can find out if its just the xbox os that has the problem or if its hardware related.

it will only work if you use an xbox controller as a "host" for the NES one.. normal USB will not work since the xbox lacks the drivers.

Alright.  That makes sense.  Is there some how-to out there on how to do that?  Modify an xbox controller to act as a "host" for a regular USB controller..

I think all that you'd have to do is wire the nes controller to bypass the buttons on the xbox controller...it would take some time but i think it would work then

HERE is the How to for an Atari joystick.  I suppose there has been enough interest in this topic that I'll do one for the NES controller as well.
Hopefully this gets you started.
