Ok, so Im new to xbox soft modding and I really would appreciate if someone could tell me my best option and give me a link to a tutorial on how to pull it off.

Xbox is a V1.0
K 1.00.4034.1
D 1.00.5960.1

Is it easier to downgrade to 4920? or is UDE the way to go?

Request: since old boxes that have been on XBL, like yours seems to be, are most likely to contain "hidden treasures" ... please could you run ldots scanner when you're setup (see the Exploit Tools pinned post). Thanks eh.

eh, will do if I can figure it out.

I just completed the install of ltools and everything seems to be running fine, made a backup of 007 by using gdfimage and it played flawlessly.

I also would like to install linksboks (a web browser for the xbox) but im not sure how to add any addtional apps....

anyone able to help me with that, or direct me to a tut... sorry.. I am a poor poor newb..

I tried to get the ldots scanner but the link is dead.

Could anyone give me the new link?

By the way, I got the web browser to work..
I had put the folder in the E: drive but not the apps folder (which I had to create) evox then auto recognized it once I choose reboot.

Alright,

Status - I installed the scan utility in the app directory, it appear in there after a reboot of the xbox via the evox dashboard. In the apps it showed up as linux, so I ran it.

It went through and what looks like discovered all .xbe's
then the light on the xbox went orange.

What on gods green earth do I do now?
I don't have a keyboard so I can't type in any commands, what do I do now?

Restart your box and access it via ftp to get the log (Edit: it's E:\XBE_SCAN.LOG) to your PC for review eh.
